Terms of use.

Cardo is made and operated by Mikhail Baikenov, an individual. These terms govern use of Cardo’s mobile app, browser extension, websites and related services (“Cardo”). By using Cardo, you agree to them.

Your account

You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity under your Cardo account. Do not use Cardo to store unlawful content or content you do not have the right to use.

Learning content

Translations, examples, speech recognition and AI-generated material can be wrong. Cardo is a learning aid, not a certified translation, legal, medical or safety service. Verify important language independently.

Subscriptions

Paid features, price, trial period and renewal terms are shown by the relevant app store before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled through the store account settings. Purchases and refunds are handled under the store’s rules and applicable law. Restore Purchases is available in the app.

Your content

You keep ownership of photos and text you add. You grant Cardo the limited permission needed to process, store and sync that content for the features you request. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to short-lived backups and legal obligations.

Browser sources

When you save an encounter from a webpage or video, you are responsible for using the excerpt lawfully. Cardo stores a personal learning reference, not a copy of the work. Third-party sites and dictionaries have their own terms.

Availability

Cardo may change, suspend or discontinue features. We aim to protect learning data, but you should not treat the service as the sole archive of irreplaceable material.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia (Sakartvelo), where Cardo’s operator is established, and disputes are subject to the courts of Tbilisi. If you use Cardo as a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim there.
